This service is the first step toward obtaining a medical card in Virginia. We conduct a review of your medical history and spend time with you to understand your needs. If both our provider and you agree cannabis might be helpful for your situation you will be provided with a written recommendation. We only charge if you qualify and you are not billed until time of service.
Discounted price of $85 available for certain circumstances: Veterans, EMS/Fire/Healthcare worker, Medicare/Medicaid patient, Cancer or Hospice patients. Must provide proof of qualifying circumstance (ID, progress note, doctors letter) in order to receive discounted price.
This recommendation can be sent to the State of Virginia Board of Pharmacy to registered as a patient. Our fee is not inclusive of the fee the state charges to register you as a patient.

This option is for those who have used our services to obtain a card before.
State of Virginia law requires an annual renewal of your medical card. This is accomplished through an on-line visit with our provider. This option is meant for patients who are new to the practice but already hold a medical card issued by another provider.

This is for patients who hold a medical card in Virginia from another provider, but would like to renew with Solstice Green Health. You are only charged if you qualify.

Some helpful questions and answers
- Schedule a visit with a provider who can provide a consult and written certification for medical cannabis.
- Register with the State of Virginia and the Board of Pharmacy as a patient. ($50 fee)
- Once you receive your card you can contact a dispensary and have a consult with the pharmacist.
Some states have very specific laws surrounding what conditions a written certification can be issued. The Commonwealth of Virginia does not include guidance on what conditions qualify. They leave it up to the provider to determine if they feel a patient’s particular condition could benefit from medical cannabis.
After you choose a service you will be directed to a shop page where you can then make your purchase. We prefer credit card payments up front. If it is found you don’t qualify for a medical cannabis card you will be issued a refund.
Beyond what you pay for the initial consultation and certification the State charges an additional $50 to register for a medical cannabis card.
After payment is received you will be issued a doxy.me link for a time we mutually agree upon. This is a HIPPA compliant platform.
Unfortunately this is up to the Commonwealth of Virginia. Typical times seems to be 5-6 weeks from the time you submit your information to the state.
